Abstract
Spectroscopy of photoelectrons excited with monochromatized Al Kα X-ray and circularly polarized synchrotron radiation has been used to study electronic structure of ferromagnetic GdTiGe. A variation of the valence band in the vicinity of the Fermi level has been found between the spectra obtained at temperatures below and above the Curie point. It has been attributed to the reduction of exchange splitting in the paramagnetic phase. Magnetic dichroism in photoemission has been found for Gd 4f and 4d levels at the resonant Gd 3d-4f and Ti 2p-3d excitation energies.
