Abstract
The isothermal section of the Ag2SCdSGeS2 systems at 298 K was constructed using X-ray diffraction analysis. Two quaternary intermediate compounds, Ag2CdGeS4 and Ag4CdGe2S7, exist in the system at this temperature. The phase diagram of the Ag8GeS6CdS section was constructed which is of the peritectic type. Powder X-ray diffraction was used to refine the crystal structure of Ag2CdGeS4, which crystallizes in the orthorhombic structure (space group Pmn21, a = 0.80338(3), b = 0.68680(2), c = 0.65866(3) nm, RI = 0.0766).
