Abstract
The isothermal sections of the phase diagram for the Dy-Cu-Sn ternary system have been constructed at 770 and 670Â K. The existence of three intermetallic compounds has been confirmed and two new ternary compounds were found. The crystal structure refinement for the Dy6Cu8Sn8 compound was carried out by a single crystal method. The formation of a DyCu5 solid solution region (5Â at.% Sn) was observed. The magnetic and electric properties for the Dy7Cu35Sn11 compound were measured.
