Abstract
Formation of phases and structure analysis with magnetic and electrical properties of LnMn1/2Rh1/2O3 (Ln = rare earth) were investigated and the Rietveld refinements of the X-ray diffraction data confirmed the space group Pnma for this series of compounds at room temperature. The compounds show ferromagnetic property at low temperature but the substitution of rare earth element of higher atomic number suppresses the ferromagnetic interaction. The electrical conductivity shows semiconducting property above room temperature and the conductivity decreases with the substitution of rare earth element of higher atomic number.
