Abstract
Isothermal crystallization kinetics of melt-spun Pd42.5Cu30Ni7.5P20 amorphous ribbons is studied by the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). For the first time, we introduce several new nucleation and growth models about crystallization to discuss the isothermal crystallization process together with JMA method. The analysis shows that at 628Â K (low temperature), the time-dependent nucleation with three-dimensional growth is dominant, however, at 648Â K (high temperature), the process is governed by quenched-in nuclei and growth.
