Abstract
Thermodynamic evaluation of the C-Co-Zn system was carried out in order to improve hard metals recycling in zinc process. No experimental binary C-Zn phase diagram was observed. One set of experimental data was found from Stadelmaier et al. at 1123Â K for the ternary system. Only one ternary phase (K phase) was found. The K phase melted incongruently and was not stable at room temperature.
