Abstract
The peculiarities of the Ca5TiNb4O17 slab perovskite-like structure, synthesized by heating of the co-precipitated hydroxy-carbonates, have been studied by X-ray powder diffraction. It was found that the crystal structure of Ca5TiNb4O17 belongs to the Sr5Nb5O17-type structure. The cell constants of Ca5TiNb4O17 are: a = 3.8447(5), b = 32.051(5), c = 5.4875(7)Â Ã
and the space group is P2nn (no. 34). The final Rw value is equal to 0.063 for 277 independent reflections.
