Abstract
We studied the crystal structure and magnetic properties of the perovskite manganites Pr0.63M0.07Sr0.3MnO3 with M = Sm and Bi, as a function of the average size of the A cation site. Neutron diffraction investigations show that our synthesized samples crystallize in orthorhombic symmetry with Pnma space group with distortion of the MnOMn angles. Magnetic measurements versus temperature in an applied magnetic field of 500Â Oe show that all our samples exhibit a paramagnetic to ferromagnetic transition at low temperature. The Curie temperature Tc decreases from 265Â K for the parent phase to 325Â K for the Sm substituted sample.
