Abstract
Primarily, investigation on synthesis of Ba2Ti9O20 powders by precipitation-mixing method has been reported. By using BaCO3 and Ti(OC4H9)4 as raw materials, the precursor could be obtained under room temperature conditions, single-phase Ba2Ti9O20 powder could be synthesized after calcination at 1200 °C for 2 h. The investigation also shows that forming temperature for single-phase Ba2Ti9O20 could be lowered to 1150 °C by adding some seeds in the precursor. The reason was also discussed.
