Abstract
An angle-resolved photoemission study of Ag nanofilms on Fe(110) substrates has been carried out to investigate their growth and electronic structures. From low energy electron diffraction patterns and photoemission spectra, it is found that the crystallinity of a Ag nanofilm is improved by deposition at lower temperature and subsequent annealing. The fine-structures derived from the quantized states of Ag sp valence electrons are observed in the angle-resolved photoemission spectra of Ag nanofilms grown at lower temperature with annealing.
