Abstract
New nanoporous polymeric templates supported on conductive substrates (gold-coated Si wafers or indium-tin oxide glass) were used to electrosynthesize polyaniline (PANI) nanotubes brushes. X-ray photoelectron, Raman and UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopies were used to characterize the polymer structure, doping level, charge carriers and electronic structure in PANI nanotubes. For the first time, we also report on the redox behavior of PANI nanotubes studied by in situ UV-Vis spectroelectrochemistry.
