Abstract
This paper deals with the problem of population ageing in selected countries of the European Union. The aim was to outline and compare certain indicators and conditions that might vary according to the specific social system of each country. The paper is primarily focused on a group of seniors and the problem of old age pension and early retirement. Juniors are used for completion and better illustration of differences.
