Abstract
In this work we present deuterium analysis performed using the 2H(3He,α)1H Nuclear Reaction Analysis method. Different sets of sintered polished uranium oxide disks have been investigated before and after annealing at 400 °C in ArD2 atmosphere. Heterogeneous lateral deuterium distributions have been found for all the ArD2 annealed UO2 disks. The average deuterium amount increases after annealing at 400 °C in ArD2 and decreases after a second annealing at 400 °C in vacuum whatever is the set of sintered polished uranium oxide disks.
