Abstract
The ab initio calculations of energy spectra of Ar X were performed using the configurations interaction method within the basis of transformed radial orbitals with a variable parameter. The excited configurations 2s22p43l were studied while taking into account highly excited configurations 2s2p53l and 2s22p44l. The radiative lifetimes of levels of the excited configurations 2s22p43l were obtained using “length” and “velocity” forms of the electric dipole transition operator.
