Abstract
By relatively simple and direct methods the properties of coherent synchrotron radiation are clarified in detail. Features of coherent radiation from electrons regularly spaced on a circular orbit, coherent radiation from electron bunches of various configurations, as well as trains of bunched electrons and bunches uniformly filling the whole orbit are considered. The possibility of super-power short-wavelength coherent synchrotron radiation from a train of bunches is discussed.
