Abstract
Dissociative charge-exchange reactions of Ne+ ions produced from neon with neutral propene have been studied in a quadrupole mass spectrometer with a high pressure ion source. The measurements were performed in a mixture of 1% C3H6+99% Ne within the pressure range 1.33-39.99Â Pa. The fractional abundance Ii/âIi of prominent ions: C2H3+, C3H3+, C3H5+, C3H7+, C4H5+, C4H7+ and neon ions have been determined as a function of gas pressure in the ion source and against the repeller electrode potential.
