Abstract
This paper describes the motivations, ideas, work and lesson learned that resulted in the development of the software product called PEANO, for signal validation of process sensors in a dynamic system. The focus of this report is more on the process that started in 1994 and brought to the realization of the current system in 2003 (PEANO ver. 4.1).
