Abstract
Pr3+:LaB3O6 single crystal with size up to â
20Â mmÃ22Â mm has been grown by the Czochralski method. The structure of Pr3+:LaB3O6 crystal was proved by X-ray powder diffraction. The absorption and fluorescence spectra of Pr3+:LaB3O6 crystal were measured at room temperature, and the fluorescence lifetime of the 1D2 manifold was estimated from the fluorescence decay curve. The spectral properties related to laser performance of the crystal were also evaluated.
