Abstract
This paper reports the crystal growth and spectral properties of Nd3+:Sr2La0.667(VO4)2 crystals. Nd:Sr2La0.667(VO4)2 crystal with dimension 20Ã15Ã15Â mm3 was grown by the Czochralski method. The segregation coefficients of Nd3+ in Nd3+:Sr2La0.667(VO4)2 crystal is 0.52. The hardness of Nd3+:Sr2La0.667(VO4)2 crystal is 374.6 VDH, and is about equal to 5.0Â moh. Nd:Sr2La0.667(VO4)2 crystal has a large FWHM of 21Â nm at 810Â nm. The absorption and emission cross-sections were 2.6Ã10â20Â cm2 at 810Â nm and 16.4Ã10â20Â cm2 at 1079Â nm, respectively.
