Abstract
Nd3+:KLu(WO4)2 crystal with the dimension 46Ã26Ã7 mm3 has been grown from a flux of K2WO4 using the top seed solution grown method. The solubility curve of K2WO4 in the solution has been measured. The absorption and emission spectra of Nd3+: KLu(WO4)2 have been investigated. The absorption and emission cross-sections are 7.93Ã10â20 cm2 at 812 nm and 2.41Ã10â19 cm2 at 1072 nm, respectively. The fluorescence lifetime is 79.4 μs at room temperature.
