Abstract
ZnO crystal growth by chemical vapor transport (CVT) is carried out using carbon as a transport agent. Under the optimum ÎT and growth temperature, a single crystal was grown. The carbon contamination is not detected by SIMS measurements and all the crystals are orange-red colored. It is claimed that the orange-red color is attributed to the shift of stoichiometry to zinc rich atmosphere.
