Abstract
It was shown that a continuous series of Li6Gd1âxEux(BO3)3 solid solutions exist within the whole concentration range (x=0-1). Li6Gd1âxEux(BO3)3 (x=0-0.03; 1) single crystals up to 25Â mm in length and up to 20Â mm in diameter have been grown by the Czochralski method. The structural perfection of the crystals has been estimated from etch patterns and XPA analysis results. The optical absorption and thermally stimulated luminescence of the grown crystals has been studied.
