Abstract
The mathematical model of Czochralski garnet crystal growth was developed in the 2D (r, z)-geometry. The equations of convection heat transfer in the Boussinesq approximation are solving in the melt. The Marangoni conditions on the free melt surface are considered. The Stefan condition is taken into account at the interface. The developed model was used to calculate the experiments on temperature field measurements in the garnet melt. The reasons for discrepancy of calculated and experimental temperature distributions are discussed.
