Abstract
Poly crystalline nickel-zinc-titanium ferrites with varied quantities of indium have been synthesised under optimum preparatory conditions. The results indicate definite improvements in resistivity and saturation magnetisation. Variations in the lattice constant, DC resistivity, saturation magnetisation and Curie temperature with indium substitution have been analysed to determine the site occupancy of indium ions in these ferrites. The indium ions are observed to occupy tetrahedral sites for initial concentrations and octahedral sites as well at higher concentrations. The observed variations of all the measurements are in accordance with the existing understanding.
