Abstract
Thermoresposive ferrofluids are synthesized by the combination of a magnetite core with a polycaprolactone shell exhibiting a critical solution temperature in the carrier medium DMSO. Under the influence of a magnetic field, the core warms up due to magnetic induction and causes a thermal transition in the shell. The effect is shown to be useful for the release of low molecular active substances.
