Abstract
The magnetic ordering of HoFe0.33Ge2, crystallizing in the orthorhombic structure of the CeNiSi2-type has been investigated by neutron diffractometry in the temperature range between 1.6 and 15.2Â K. Ho magnetic moments in HoFe0.33Ge2 have been found to order antiferromagnetically below 8Â K. HoFe0.33Ge2 magnetic structure corresponds to propagation vector kâ=12,12,0 and, on the basis of a group-theoretical analysis, is found to be based on the irreducible representation Ï1. Also bulk magnetic measurements (susceptibility and magnetization) are reported.
