Abstract
La2/3Ca1/3MnO3 (LCMO) and La2/3Ca1/3MnO3/La0.8Na0.2MnO3 films were successfully fabricated on YSZ (1 0 0) substrates using the chemical solution deposition method. The results showed that the LCMO film was (1 1 0) oriented and had an obvious magnetoresistance (MR) at low temperature. However, when the La0.8Na0.2MnO3 film was used as a buffer layer, the LCMO film was (h 0 0) oriented and showed no obvious MR at low temperature. It is interesting to observe that it is useful to tune up the orientation of the Mn-based CMR film only using the Mn-based CMR film as buffer layer through A-site doping.
