Abstract
The magnetic and microstructural properties of the M-type Sn4+ -doped barium hexaferrite according to the stoichiometric formulation BaFe(12â(4/3)x)SnxO19 (x=0, 0.6, 0.8 and 1.0) have been studied. The XRD and magnetic analysis, using a rotating sample magnetometer, reveal that a correlation exists between the variation of the host lattice parameters and the decrease in the values of saturation magnetization, remnant magnetization and magnetic anisotropy with Sn4+ content. This makes it possible to connect the microstructural properties to the magnetic behavior of doped barium hexaferrite at both microscopic and macroscopic levels.
