Abstract
Invoking a manifest 2-phonon exchange mechanism in a recently extended framework of the Cooper problem, we adapt an idea given by Cooper in the context of superconductivity of a bi-metallic film of a superconducting metal and a normal metal to calculate the Tc of MgB2. We are thus led to values of the two gaps in MgB2 which are in good agreement with the experimental values.
