Abstract
We have fabricated films of high-Jc Sm1+xBa2âxCu3O6+δ (SmBCO) using a low temperature growth (LTG) technique. The self-field Jc of LTG-SmBCO film increased with decreasing the substrate temperature at the upper layer fabrication (Ts,upper). From X-ray Ï-scan measurement, we confirmed three kinds of in-plane rotated grains in the LTG-SmBCO films. The main peaks correspond to the grain with a [1 0 0]MgOâ¥[1 0 0]SmBCO. Other small peaks observed from the grain with 45° rotation and 45 ± 8° rotation decreased with decreasing Ts,upper. We considered that high-Jc SmBCO films resulted from the improvement of the in-plane alignment.
