Abstract
In this paper the effects of Mn doping on the superconductivity in La2âxSrxCuO4 superconductor is studied. It is found that the superconducting transition temperature Tc keeps at 37 K in La1.85â1.5xSr0.15+1.5xCu1âxMnxO4 for x ⩽ 0.1. This result indicates that the suppression of superconductivity in Mn doped system does not fit the Abrikosov and Gork'ov theory which predicts that Tc should decrease in the presence of magnetic impurities. We suggest that the Mn impurities only localize the charge carriers around them.
