Abstract
The R&D program at the LCFI collaboration is focused on the development of Column-Parallel CCD (CPCCD) and its associated readout ASIC for the vertex detector of the future Linear Collider. Each column of the CPCCD is read and processed independently by the readout chip, which gives maximum speed performance. In this paper, the initial results from our first CPCCD are presented and discussed, as well as the plans for future developments. Another part of the R&D program, described here, targets the development of precision and thin detector support structures for large back-thinned CCDs.
