Abstract
This paper describes the design of the Radial Matching Section (RMS) for the Heavy Ion Prototype Radio Frequency Quadrupole (RFQ) Linac being developed at the BARC-TIFR Pelletron Accelerator Facility (PAF). A novel way of varying the aperture radius in RMS and optimization process is also presented.
