Abstract
The burning of the fuel in the cylindrical target is investigated for the case of an employment of a power relativistic heavy ion driver (Voprosy Atomnoi Nauki I Techniki. Matem Model. Fiz. Prozsessov 3, 2004). For the DT fuel this scheme requires the high-energy input (⩾100 MJ) at the high ions energy (∼1000 GeV) (Compact Power Heavy Ions Driver, Institute of Theoretical and Experimental Physics, Moscow, 2003) of a driver. We also consider the propagation of the steady burning wave in the compressed magnetized cylindrical DD and DT3He targets.
