Abstract
Fast electron bremsstrahlung (FEB) emission during lower hybrid current drive experiments on the HT-7 superconducting tokamak has been measured by a recently developed tangential multi-channel FEB diagnostic based on CdTe detectors. There are 14 sight lines to observe the forward parallel emission of fast electrons with spatial resolution of 4Â cm and 6 sight lines to observe the backward parallel emission of fast electrons with spatial resolution of 8Â cm. The FEB emission in the energy range of 30-400Â keV can be measured. In this paper, the tangential FEB diagnostic is described, and the preliminary experimental results of FEB emission measurements are presented.
