Abstract
The Silicon Strip Tracker (SST) for the CMS experiment at LHC consists of 210Â m2 of silicon strip detectors grouped into four distinct sub-systems. We present a brief description of the CMS Tracker, the industrialised detector module production methods and the current status of the SST with reference to some problems encountered at the factories and in the construction centres.
