Abstract
Single-crystalline YAG:Re3+ (Re3+=Ce, Tb, Eu) fibers are now produced by internal crystallization method (ICM). Experimental results on fabrication of single-crystalline yttrium-aluminum garnet (YAG)-doped fibers by using ICM are disclosed; their microstructure and strength are described. Luminescence of the YAG:Re3+ fibers investigated.
