Abstract
The Ï-meson leptonic widths, Îee and Îμμ, are obtained, respectively, from the e+eâ forward-backward asymmetry and the μ+μâ cross section around the Ï-mass energy. We find Îee=1.32±0.05±0.03keV and ÎeeÎμμ=1.320±0.018±0.017keV. These results, compatible with Îee=Îμμ, provide a precise test of lepton universality. Combining the two results gives Îââ(Ï)=1.320±0.023keV.
