Abstract
Taking into account the self-consistent dust charge variation, we use a Sagdeev potential approach to numerically investigate the effects of negative ions on the dust-acoustic soliton in negative-ion-contained dusty plasmas. It is shown that only the negative potential soliton can exist in the complex plasmas. Also, the presence of the negative ions can significantly reduce both lower and upper critical Mach numbers. The profiles of the soliton potential and corresponding particle distributions in the negative ion free and contained cases are illustrated and discussed.
