Abstract
In a magnetized plasma where the electron cyclotron frequency is much less than the plasma frequency the convection of the high-frequency waves by the magnetized low-frequency oscillations cannot be neglected in the generalized Zakharov equations. Its contribution crucially modifies the characteristic time of interaction of the waves and strongly increases the efficiency of the related resonant decay processes. Moreover, in an isothermal weakly magnetized plasma, the resonant decay can overcome the processes of modulational instability and induced scattering on particles.
