Abstract
First ever methodology for bremsstrahlung background correction to extract a true Compton profile from the high energy Compton measurements is presented. The bremsstrahlung correction, calculated from the Born approximation, in the experimental Compton profile leads to a better agreement with theory, which warrants the incorporation of this correction during data reduction.
