Abstract
Based on the information and analyses in this review, there is sufficient evidence to support the recommendation that the OECD undertake the development of a Test Guideline on Transgenic Rodent Gene Mutation Assays. Accordingly, it is recommended that the OECD establish an Expert Working Group to develop such a Test Guideline, and serve as an international forum for undertaking any additional research that would lead to the development of a fuller understanding of the variables surrounding the conduct of TGR mutation assays.
