Abstract
DM is common amongst patients admitted with ACS without ST elevation and is associated with significant morbidity and mortality: approximately 1 in 8 will not survive up to 6 months and 1 in 3 to 4 years. DM patients should be managed aggressively to reduce their risk of future complications.
