Abstract

Combined histone deacetylase inhibitor and phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/Akt pathway inhibition sensitized non-small cell lung cancer xenografts to apoptosis. Further investigations of this combined therapy are warranted as new pharmacologic phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase/Akt pathway inhibitors are developed.
