Abstract
Some Ru(III) complexes of the type [Ru(L)(phen)X] (1a, 2a) and [Ru(L)(bipy)X] (1b, 2b) (where; Lâ¯=â¯2-((E)-((4-((4-bromophenyl)ethynyl)phenyl)imino)methyl-4-((E)-phenyldiazenyl)phenol, phenâ¯=â¯1,10-phenanthroline, bipyâ¯=â¯2,2â²- bipyridine, Xâ¯=â¯N3 and NCS) have been prepared and characterized. Room temperature luminescence is observed for all complexes. Metal complexes were calcinated at 600â¯Â°C for 5â¯h to obtain RuO2 nanoparticles. PXRD analysis showed that the obtained oxides are crystalline and corresponded to RuO2 phases. Crystal size, shape and morphology were determined by SEM and TEM studies.140
