Abstract
Some Ru(III) complexes of the type [Ru(L)(phen)X] (1a, 2a) and [Ru(L)(bipy)X] (1b, 2b) (where; L = 2-((E)-((4-((4-bromophenyl)ethynyl)phenyl)imino)methyl-4-((E)-phenyldiazenyl)phenol, phen = 1,10-phenanthroline, bipy = 2,2′- bipyridine, X = N3 and NCS) have been prepared and characterized. Room temperature luminescence is observed for all complexes. Metal complexes were calcinated at 600 °C for 5 h to obtain RuO2 nanoparticles. PXRD analysis showed that the obtained oxides are crystalline and corresponded to RuO2 phases. Crystal size, shape and morphology were determined by SEM and TEM studies.140
