Abstract
3D macrochanneled biopolymer scaffolds, structured to be microporous by an elegant phase separation process, demonstrate high capacity to load therapeutic molecules and release them sustainably while exhibiting excellent biocompatibility, which holds great promise for use as therapeutic tissue engineering scaffolds.
