Abstract
ⶠBiomass growth and phenol production are inhibited at low phenol concentrations. ⶠA membrane unit in the reactor does not affect the growth and phenol production. ⶠPhenol removal by pertraction leads to an increase in total phenol production of 132%. ⶠDecrease overall mass transfer coefficient by fouling medium components. ⶠDecrease overall mass transfer coefficient by sterilization membrane.
