Abstract
In this case report, we described the history of a 14-year-old boy with ascites, who was referred to the hospital with a suspicion of a liver failure. After performing detailed diagnostic tests (such as echocardiography, 24-hour ECG monitoring, magnetic resonance and cardiac catheterization), patient was initially diagnosed with idiopathic restrictive cardiomyopathy with QTc prolongation. As a result of pharmacotherapy (diuretics, anticoagulant doses of acetylsalicylic acid, β-blockers and magnesium) the general condition of the patient was stabilized. Six months after the final diagnosis heart transplantation was performed.
