Abstract
1. Endoscopic examination of the upper gastrointestinal tract revealed ectopic pancreatic tissue in the stomach in 0,67% of examined children in analyzed period. 2. Clinical symptoms in the group of ectopic pancreas were not specific. Upper abdominal pain (100%), nausea and vomiting (50%) dominated. Only in 3 cases clinical symptoms can be connected with ectopic pancreas. 3. The authors postulate annual endoscopic checking in the children with ectopic pancreas in the stomach. 4. Due to potential risk of malignancy and other complications the authors postulate the necessity of creating standards in the management in the group of children with ectopic pancreas.
