Abstract
A wheezing is often considered as a clinic symptom. It is not always the result of bronchi but almost always indicates hypersensitivity of larynx and bronchi mucosa in small children. The illnesses with wheezing symptoms followed by other signs can have different reasons - mainly according to anatomic and physiologic distinction of respiratory tracts. The wheezing is the most common during viral infections of the respiratory tracts. In the first two years of life the most common is RS viral infection but in the years of 3-5 and later respiratory viruses start to dominate. When a diameter of bronchi increases and efficiency of immune system is higher, the frequency of wheezing occurence decreases in about 2/3 of children. The wheezing definitely stops before 5-6 year of life. The existing offers of diagnostic criteria show that recognizing asthma is highly possible when the incidents of obturation are found in familial or individual atopy load or when the obturation appears not only in a time of respiratory infection (which is very popular) but also without coexisting infections.
